I am a licensed naturopathic doctor. I received my doctorate in naturopathic medicine including certification in naturopathic obstetrics from the National College of Naturopathic Medicine in Portland, Oregon, an accredited naturopathic medical school. I have my B.A. with high honors from the University of California in Psychology.
I am continually adding to my knowledge base to better serve my patients. I have additional training and certification in Craniosacral Therapy from the internationally acclaimed Upledger Institute and in Biotherapeutic Drainage with the UNDA Homeopathic Formulas with Dr. Dick Thom, ND, DDM and Dr. Rob Abel, ND, LAc.
Since 1997 I have maintained a thriving medical practice in San Luis Obispo on the beautiful Central Coast of California. For many years I authored a bi-monthly column in HopeDance Magazine, and contributed research and natural diet plans for the book: Natural Woman, Natural Menopause by Marcus Laux, ND.
I lecture to both professional and public audiences on a variety of health related topics. I have appeared before Central Coast Dental Hygienists, Menopause Support Groups, Twin Cities Hospital Cancer Support Group, Chronic Fatigue/Fibromyalgia Support Groups, The AIDS Support Network, The SLO Hepatitis C Project, Cuesta College and SLO County’s Adoptive Parents and Kinship Program and many more.
I teach classes on nutrition and herbal medicine and am an authorized instructor with the State of California. In 2003 I was the featured naturopath of the California Naturopathic Doctors Association. In 2004 I was nominated as a San Luis Obispo Woman of Distinction.
